New Keene Restaurant, Dixie Cafe

by Wilma on April 4, 2010

Good News/Bad News – The bad news is Wilson’s Grocery & Deli, located at 108 Keene-South Elkhorn Road, Keene, has closed its doors; the good news is that Dixie Cafe has opened in that spot, bringing a Tex/Mex eatery to Jessamine County. The cafe, open Monday-Saturday, serves such favorites as enchiladas, chili, and buffalo burgers. For more information, call 859 885-0191.

New York Times best-selling mystery writer, Harlan Coben (Deal Breaker, Tell No One , etc.) will be at Joseph-Beth Booksellers, tonight at 7:00, to sign his latest novel, Caught. Joseph-Beth regularly hosts good writers and is one of the best book stores I’ve ever had the pleasure of browsing. Bronte Bistro, located in the store, is an outstanding bistro/coffee shop, serving a gourmet menu – a great place to relax and start your new book.
